Created in 1995, the Maison de l'Amérique Latine de Strasbourg is a non-profit association, with the aim of building a Latin American social and cultural center in the heart of this European capital.
This ensures the promotion of social and cultural activities and we participate in providing the community and members with all the means to promote activities concerning Latin America.
A few years ago, the House opened an associative café 'Café Libro' as well as a storytelling festival: “From Word to Mouth and from Boca to Boca”.
Events to come:
William Hogarth – The Cartoonist Who Painted Novels
William Hogarth is unique in the panorama of English painting. His prolific work, often halfway between satire and moralism, contains drawings, engravings and paintings, offering a humorous and even acerbic perspective on 18th century British mores, which he cheerfully caricatures.

As its name suggests, Le Tire-Bouchon draws its spirit from the vine and wine. This picturesque 16th century house with its dimmed lights, marquetry and woodwork, has private lounges upstairs for discreet meals.
Authenticity! This is the key word of this 100% Alsatian winstub. Located a few steps away from the cathedral, the Tire-Bouchon offers a very warm setting, thanks to its frescoes by André Bricka and its marquetry by Spindler.
The atmosphere is convivial; but if you wish more confidentiality, four private and refined lounges welcome you on the floor. At the table, the Chef Michel Reuche regales us! Pot-au-feu salad, snails, calf's head with vinaigrette, braised pork cheeks with pinot noir, salmon steak with lentils... The desserts are just as exquisite: cottage cheese pie, iced meringue, apple strudel or ice cream sundae. All the generosity of Alsace.

The MAMCS keeps a close watch on young artists and reserves a special place in its annual program of exhibitions, as well as in its acquisition policy, for artists of the new generation. With three to four exhibitions per year, it is identified as a dynamic player within French and European institutions.
The MAMCS aims to bring pleasure and inspiration to its visitors. The encounter with the work does not always go without raising questions and this is also the artist's characteristic: to disturb us. Always on the lookout to give an account of the current state of research, creation and mediation of the work of art, the MAMCS develops a diversified program that invites us to renew our view of the artists of our time, a time when "art is what makes life more interesting than art" (Robert Filliou).
Agenda:
STÉPHANE BELZÈRE. FLOATING WORLDS
In the mid-1990s, the painter Stéphane Belzère (born in 1963), nourished by French, Swiss and German cultures, decided to set up his easel in the room known as the "Pièces Molles" of the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. This was the beginning of a pictorial adventure that will last until now, during which the artist will inhabit his canvas with a recurrent, if not obsessive, motif: the jar.

The oldest park in the city is a favorite meeting place for lovers, joggers and Sunday walkers. Children love its playgrounds, its vintage car circuit, its mini-farm and its zoo (free).
It is here that the stork, once threatened with extinction, was successfully reintroduced. More than 800 stork babies have been born since 1971. The beautiful bird symbol of Alsace can be admired in all seasons. The lake, decorated with a large romantic waterfall, allows you to indulge in the joys of canoeing.
The Josephine Pavilion hosts exhibitions and temporary events. The Buerehiesel, a beautiful half-timbered house, houses a gourmet restaurant. The bowling alley and its terrace complete this leisure offer.
