The HBCAM (or Handball Club Clermont Auvergne Métropole) is the best handball team in Clermont and in Auvergne. Evolving in D2F, the second-best national women's league in France, the volcanics fight every year to get a place on the rise for the elite of women's handball. This club is not only home to the best team, but also home to a National 2 (4th division) with their reserve team and a team under 17 in the French championships, the best division at this level. Meet at the Clermont Sports Center to watch a high-intensity match!
For 10€ come and attend one of their matches, and also come and attend a match of the Volley Club de Chamalières (playing in Pro Ligue A, first division). You will have the opportunity in one evening to see two high-level Clermontoise teams!
To get to the Clermont Sports Center (Pl. des Bughes, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand), you can rent a bike provided by the municipality (C'Vélo) and go there directly. It is ecological, economical and good for your health !
At the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, the Puy de Dôme is a protected and developed tourist site. It is a fragile and preserved natural space which dominates the Chaîne des Puys. To climb to the top, the bravest can do it on foot via the chemin des Muletiers! Otherwise, you can board the Panoramique des Dômes with a 360° view during the climb. In about ten minutes, you are at the top of the Puy de Dôme.
The climb on foot is totally free and unrestricted, you will take a good hour to climb the 1,000m that separates you from the summit. If you are really brave you can always go down on foot or else take the panorama of the domes from 10€.
The Puy de Dôme site is 15 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, towards Limoges, in the municipalities of Ceyssat and Orcines. Car parks are provided for all types of vehicles, cars, motorhomes, coaches.
The Issoire circuit is a mythical motor racing circuit. Today you can go there for several occasions : either for events such as animations, product launches or to directly test cars (Earth course, GT course, etc.) and motorcycles on the 2km long circuit which will allow you to ride on asphalt or dirt.
