After the Second World War, France needed to rebuild. Several architects will imagine the design of many social housing, in order to rehouse a maximum of people. It was at this time that the Cité Radieuse was born: the first housing unit, built between 1947 and 1952.

Classified as a Unesco World Heritage site, this residence includes more than 300 apartments and a hotel. In addition to these individual places, there are "extensions of the dwelling", created to stimulate a new practice of collective housing, such as a bookshop, an interior shopping street, an art gallery and a tea room.

You will be able to discover all these places during your visit, as well as a superb roof terrace, between the Mediterranean and the hills in the distance, which offers a breathtaking view of Marseille.

The park of more than 2 hectares around the Cité Radieuse is also open to the public throughout the year.
