We invite you to discover the exhibition Cinémode by Jean-Paul Gaultier, until January 16th. This exhibition is based on the movie outfits that the fashion designer has created for mythical films!
More than a retrospective, Cinémode tells how clothes find their place in the cinema. The garment takes on a real meaning and becomes a real work of art, inspiring for the actors who put them on and for the spectators who discover them. You will be able to find in particular the dresses of Marilyn Monroe or Brigitte Bardot, Superman's leotard... in short, a story mixing cinema and fashion, in a very welcoming and inspiring place.

This art house is a great place to immerse yourself in the old Paris and the mix of arts such as cinema, theater, contemporary art exhibitions and gastronomy. Formerly a disused factory, the Lucernaire is now a very friendly creative space that hosts projects in various artistic disciplines.
Its history? The Lucernaire was born in 1969 at the time of the cafe-theaters. Two young actors and directors imagined a unique place, where different forms of artistic expression would be mixed in the heart of the capital.
You will be able to discover several plays played at the moment, here is my favorite:
The promise of the dawn by Romain Gary
Directed by Stéphane Laporte and Dominique Scheer
Adaptation and play by Franck Desmedt
Romain Gary tells of his youth, his uprooting, his relationship with his mother who raises him alone. She dreams of greatness for him. He will never stop trying to live up to this dream.
From his mother, suffocating with love, to the mischievous housekeeper of the great De Gaulle, to a gallery of small Parisians who live through the terrible war, Franck Desmedt traces with virtuosity the itinerary of one of the most mysterious authors, the only one to have won the Goncourt Prize twice.
Do not hesitate to watch the film program of this place, which is wide and varied.
A photo exhibition is currently on at the Lucernaire, accessible for free. Nicolas Bary is exhibiting Versus, an exhibition dealing with the link between reality and living worlds. The images are scenes from everyday life, and represent two distinct spaces: the main character, witnessing the immersion in which the secondary character is immersed, who is indifferent to what surrounds him. The staging questions us on the potential drifts generated by technology, omnipresent in our lives.
In this wonderful place, you will also find a bookstore (accessible through the entrance hall) which offers a wide choice of texts, in connection with the theatrical program.
Opening hours of the bookshop
Wednesday, from 2 to 4:30 pm
Thursday, from 6pm to 10pm
Friday, from 6pm to 10pm
Saturday, from 2pm to 10pm
Sunday, from 12pm to 8pm
Finally, after all these discoveries, you will be able to settle down comfortably at the Lucernaire's bar and restaurant, which offers affordable drinks, as well as a happy hour from 5pm to 9pm!
For those under 26, theater tickets are only 10€!
